Love And Hope in Action would like to extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation to these local congregations that are fulfilling the mandate in Galatians 2:10 and helping LAHIA serve those in need in our community. We couldn't do it without them!
St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Railway Road, Stuart
For the past seven years, St. Luke’s has been committed to helping out with showers on Saturdays. The parishioners also hand out a bag with personal hygiene products to each of our campers. This is a wonderful help to those we serve.
Covenant Fellowship Baptist Church, Aster Lane, Stuart
Every Tuesday for the past seven years, volunteers from Covenant Fellowship provide an awesome lunch for our guests. Pastor Jay Holland also brings in his youth group during the school year to serve and clean the kitchen and dining room.
Palm City Presbyterian Church, Martin Highway, Palm City
On the third Friday of each month, the deacons of Palm City Presbyterian provide a delicious “king’s breakfast feast" for those we serve. What a treat this is!
Christ Fellowship Church, Pratt and Whitney Road, Stuart
The Christ Fellowship men's bible group serves dinner and cleans up every Monday, followed by a study from The Word of God. Although they are a men's group, they invite both men and women to join them. They also donate bibles to our LAHIA ministry.
Episcopal Church of The Advent, Citrus Boulevard, Palm City
On the second and fourth Monday of each month, the Episcopal Church brings scrumptious sandwiches to feed the hungry. This “sandwich ministry” was started three years ago by Mary Ann and Joe Novick. The congregation also spends $500 on groceries every two months for our feeding ministry.
Coastal Life Church, 34th Street, Palm City
For nearly three years, Coastal Life Church has been collecting camper supplies and food for those in need.
St. Mary's Episcopal Church, East Ocean Boulevard, Stuart
When one of our clients wants to start a new journey by reuniting with family or starting a new job out of the area, St. Mary’s generously provides money for a Greyhound bus ticket. Over the past five years, the church has never failed to help out individuals in need. The St. Mary’s Thrift Store also donates household items and clothing.
St. John Chrysostom Greek Orthodox Church, Hobe Sound
Once a month, St. John parishioners prepare and serve a fabulous Greek dinner! They also donate non-perishable food and clothing.
Life Quest Church, Palm City
The Life Quest congregation provide dinner and clean the dining room and kitchen every fourth Friday. The women and men from their congregation take turns cooking and serving and we are grateful to them.
North Stuart Baptist Church, Stuart
Several times during the summer months, the North Stuart Youth Group provides a delicious hot meal, salad, and dessert. They also do this on two other holidays of their choice.
Peace Presbyterian Church, Cove Road, Stuart
Led by Marilyn Taylor, Peace Presbyterian helps make the holidays special for those in need. They hold several canned food drives for LAHIA around Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. They also purchase turkeys for Thanksgiving, and hams for Christmas and Easter, as well as pies.
St. Joseph's Carpenter's Kitchen, 10th Street, Stuart
Every Saturday morning, the St. Joseph's Kitchen provides us with wonderful sandwiches, sweets and assorted breads.
Unitarian Universalist Church, Central Park Boulevard, Stuart
The Unitarian congregation regularly cooks and serves a delicious dinner.
