Thankful Hearts

A chest freezer and an upright freezer were donated to LAHIA last month – and just in time!  The Chipotle Mexican Grill in Stuart has chosen to donate their leftovers to LAHIA three times a week!  The food we pick up from Chipotle, as well as Longhorn and Red Lobster, is incorporated into our lunch menu served at 1 p.m. Monday through Saturday.  We serve 40-50 hungry folks on weekdays and upwards of 100 on Saturday.

We also share this bounty with the Hope Rural Community Center in Indiantown, who feeds close to 100 immigrant children daily.

Our thanks also goes out to the Port Salerno Seafood Festival held January 29th, for  choosing LAHIA to be the recipients of their food drive.  1300 pounds of canned and dry goods were delivered this week.  (Watch for pictures in Luminaries and Stuart News over the next couple of weeks.)

We are so thankful for the extra protein provided by each of these contributors and so happy for the opportunity to share.
