Prayer Needs

Obviously with a ministry such as this, the needs of the folks we serve are many and ongoing. We all have difficulties and problems, but some of you reading this probably don’t understand the extent to which these folks struggle. Many of them are homeless and can’t find enough work to afford a room to rent or obtain health care. The summer months have been especially tough as they try to escape from the mosquitoes, heat, rain, etc. Many are actively striving to overcome addictions and follow Christ. We ask that you please keep these folks in your prayers each time LAHIA comes to your mind. We strive to give Godly counsel, encouragement, healthy hugs, and point them to useful resources.

You’ll notice the running theme in the “Volunteer Highlight” each month stresses our desire for a place LAHIA can grow into and call their own. The Port Salerno commerce area has multiple empty buildings that would serve the purpose. Please keep this matter in your prayers and contact us if you have any leads, whether it be the owner of an empty facility, a donor with a heart for the needy looking for an investment in God’s Kingdom, or news on grants to this end.
